one week of dinners

This is what a week of dinners looks like at my house.

I’ve written about my meal formula in my weeknight dinner planning tips post. I’m consistent about sticking to the proteins + veggies + extras for family dinners.Dinners are centered around a quality protein with plenty of fresh and cooked vegetables on the side. The extras are usually the sauces and additional dishes my family enjoys. Friday and Saturday meals always includes extra salads and starches like potatoes or rice.

Other dishes I always have on the table are cut up veggies (cut up a variety a few times a week and store it in a glass container) and/or salad greens (also keep these washed and ready in the fridge), or sautéed greens. And I always have olives, pickles and sauerkraut around to add variety to meals.

I alternate the main dish protein between beef, poultry, and fish throughout the week. Some other family favorites are grilled chicken breast, asian chicken soup, meatballs, stir-fries, and roasted chicken.

What are some of your family favorites? How do you menu plan for the week?
